According to the Mining Investment Insurance Corporation’s public relations, On August 19th, Khodadad Gharibpur said, in the ceremony regarding the research cooperation agreement signed between Mobarakeh Steel and the University of Tehran, “it is necessary to specialize these agreements in the related fields (steel, copper, aluminum, etc.), considering the development of knowledge and research in Mine and Mining Industry. This will bring the focus on specialized researches and would help these researches come to results.”
“In addition to today’s agreement,” continued the chairman, pointing out 2 research agreements already signed by 2 large mining companies, “National Iranian Copper Industry Co. and Jajarm Aluminum Complex also tend to sign research agreements with the University of Tehran. Signing these agreements will bring us the environment needed for formulating fundamental, efficient and problem-based researches which come to good results.
 
Special Research Grant
“According to this agreement, Mobarakeh Steel will pay special research grants to the academic staff of the University of Tehran.” Said Mr. Gharibpur, “After finishing the research, in case the research team (the professor or the student) comes to good results, they can start to commercialize the project with the support of Mobarakeh Steel Company.”
IMIDRO’s chairman continued, pointing out the Mine and Mining Industry Value-Creating Ideas Festival in 2019, “in this year’s festival we will support 10 chosen best ideas.”
The chairman commemorated Mr. Shemsh-O-Din Vahabi, UNIDRO’s chairman, and said: “Mr. Vahabi’s effort in this institute is very appreciated, since it made the institute grow and develop.”
According to this report, the research cooperation agreement was signed by Hamidreza Azimian, Mobarake Steel’s CEO and Mahmood Nili Ahmadabadi, the chairman of the University of Tehran.
Gholamreza Taheri, the education, research and technology manager of IMIDRO and Majid Vafayi Fard, the chairman of Iran Minerals Processing Research Center were also present in this meeting.
