​Mine and Mining Industry’s Development Reaching Its Peak in 2018 and 2019/Starting 38 Projects with the Investment of More than 4.8 Million Dollars
“We witnessed a huge development in Mine and Mining Industry’s projects all over the country during the years 2018 and 2019.” Said IMIDRO’s chairman, “which has never happened before during the 18 years of IMIDRO’s activity.”
According to the Mining Investment Insurance Corporation’s public relations, Khodadad Gharibpur said, pointing out IMIDRO’s activities during the last 18 years and also honoring the Week of Mine and Mining Industry, “According to the statistics, this organization has executed 165 projects with the help of subsidiary companies and the private section from the day it started its activities in 2002. The result was a 20 Billion Dollars investment in the whole country.”
 
2018 and 2019, the Development Reaching Its Peak
Mr. Gharibpur said: “While the number of the projects being executed during each year was less than 10, we witnessed a huge development in the speed of these projects in 2018 and 2019, in a way that we started 16 projects in 2018 and 22 projects in 2019 in the Mine and Mining Industry with the help of the private section.”
Pointing out that 88 projects have been started since 2013, the chairman continued: “this is 53% of the projects being executed during the last two decades in the country’s Mine and Mining Industry section. The investment also reached 9.3 billion dollars which is 46% of all the investments. Many of these projects were executed nationwide, such as South Aluminum Corporation, development of the companies producing iron ore pellets and concentrates in Sangan, sponge iron in the steel branches in different provinces, copper industry development projects etc.”
