According to the Mining Investment Insurance Corporation’s public relations, Hosein Modares Khiabani, said in a press conference with Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA): “At the beginning, the HEPCO Company was supposed to be transferred to IMIDRO, and considering that HEPCO’s shares belong to the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare, it was then transferred to Social Security Organization. You can, however, be sure that all the programs the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade had for HEPCO’s development, when it was supposed to be transferred to the Ministry, are still there, and worked on, and there is an agreement of construction and repairing 700 machines in HEPCO.”
Supporting Programs
Modares Khiabani said: “The registration for the machinery which HEPCO is able to construct is suspended at the moment. There is a request presented in the government according to which HEPCO will not participate in any deals, auctions or tenders, until HEPCO arrives at its original position. Supervision and competence on the production programs after the transition is of high priority for the Ministry.
