It Is Necessary for the Authorities and Investors of Fars Province to Support the Water Transferring Line from Persian Gulf/Mine and Mining Industry Is Ready to Provide for 10000 Megawatts of New Capa
“The support from the authorities and industries of Fars Province plays a huge role in constructing the water transference line from Persian Gulf to the Province.” Said IMIDRO’s chairman.

According to the Mining Investment Insurance Corporation’s public relations, quoting from IMIDRO, Vajih-O-Allah Jafari said in the Strategic Council of Fars Province in South Aluminum Co. “the water transferring line from Persian Gulf is supposed to provide water for the whole Province. That is why it is necessary for the Province’s authorities, Parliament members, investors and industries to support its construction.

The water transferring line from Persian Gulf to Iran’s Central Plateau was constructed with the help of mining investors of Kerman and Yazd Provinces, and with IMIDRO leading the way.”

Mine and Mining Industry Is Ready to Produce 10000 New Megawatts of Power

Pointing out that the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade helps to provide for the power alongside the Ministry of Energy, the vice-minister of Industry, Mine and Trade said: “Mine and Mining Industry Companies have produced an extra 1800 Megawatts of power in the country so far. These companies are ready to invest for the production of 10000 new Megawatts of power.”

Transferring Water to Lamard and Parsian Especial Economic Zone

Emphasizing that providing for the water is the first step towards development, production and employment, Mr. Jafari continued: “this water transferring line will provide for the water for Lamard and Parsian Especial Economic Zones.”

Pointing out that only 65000 m3 of water is transferred from the Persian Gulf every day, Mr. Jafari said: “Countries like United Emirates transfer 13.3 million m3 of water, Saudi Arabia 5.7 million m3 and Qatar 2 million m3 each day from the Persian Gulf for desalination.”

The Governor of Fars Province, Lamard’s Governor and Parliament members of the Province also presented their ideas on transferring water from Persian Gulf to Fars Province.
