Cooperation and Convergence with Knowledge Enterprises for the Optimal Use of the Country's Mineral Supplies

According to the Mining Investment Insurance Corporation’s public relations, quoting from IMIDRO, Vajih-O-Allah Jafari, IMIDRO’s chairman, emphasized on the importance of cooperation and conversion between the leading companies in Mine and Mining Industry and knowledge enterprises for the optimal use of the country’s supplies, in the event of the development of the ecosystem of innovation in mining.

Pointing out the discoveries over the last seven years, Mr. Jafari said: “we have had huge discoveries in the mining section which added to the country’s overall supplies, in a way that between 5 to 10% of these supplies has brought the country about 27 billion dollars. Obtaining the new and up-to-date technology will help us continue the discovery process with more speed and accuracy. Optimal discovery would need new knowledge, and knowledge enterprises play the main role here, and using their knowledge will help us reach the up-to-date knowledge in discovery, extraction and processing.”

Pointing out the importance of supporting educational and research institutes, funds and services which support knowledge enterprises, Mr. Jafari continued: “IMIDRO has had a constant relationship with universities, and among its activities in this section one could name creating third type research centers like UNIDRO, smart center, the project of development of the ecosystem of innovation in mining, INNOMINE Festival and making the mines smart using the potentials of the centers mentioned above. The role IMIDRO plays is paving the way and support for the knowledge enterprises, and along the year’s motto about supporting knowledge enterprises, has planned 5 strategies and 23 actions so far that would start in 2022 and 2023.”
